Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. 60-day free trial

Every Tradie Verified Account starts with a 60-day free trial. We collect a card at signup (securely, via Stripe) but we do not charge it during the trial. If you cancel at any time before day 60, no charge ever fires — there is nothing to refund because you were never billed. Your first payment only happens if and when the trial converts to a paid subscription.

2. Cancelling during your trial

Cancelling during the trial takes one click: sign in, go to Settings and cancel from the Subscription section. No charge fires, and you keep your verified profile until the trial ends. After the trial converts to a paid subscription you can still cancel at any time — cancellation then takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and we don’t issue partial refunds for the unused portion of a billing period.

3. Founding members

Founding member pricing is locked for life as long as your subscription stays active. If you cancel and later resubscribe, you’ll be charged the standard rate available at that time.

4. Failed payments

If we can’t collect a renewal payment we’ll email you and retry. After repeated failures the subscription is cancelled and the public profile is suspended. You can resubscribe at any time — verification data is retained.

5. Plan changes

At launch, plan changes (e.g. switching between monthly and annual) are handled by email. Contact us at hello@sefi.com.au and we’ll arrange the change for you. Self-serve plan switching may be enabled later.

6. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes the consumer guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Because the 60-day free trial means you are only ever charged after you’ve decided to continue, the ACL is the primary path for any refund once a payment has been made. If you believe a major failure has occurred with the Services, contact us at hello@sefi.com.au and we’ll assess your request in line with your ACL rights. Any remedy under the ACL applies in addition to anything in this policy.

7. How to cancel

The quickest way to cancel — during the trial or after it converts — is from the Subscription section of your Settings. As a backup, you can also manage your subscription through the secure Stripe customer portal, where you can cancel, update your card, or view payment receipts.
